It’s the time of year I love most! Firstly it’s my birthday week, and secondly I love Autumn and today I feeling all festive, winter, dark nights vibes.
Wearing my very comfy fleeced lined boots, with a tan coloured high neck top from NewLook and my jeggings, I am feeling like Christmas is just around the corner.
To top off my look I wore my chunky long tartan pattern scarf, which has kept me warm all day!!
So to celebrate the semi finals of The Great British Bake Off I’ve do some baking, and I’ve got my cup of tea at the ready. I baked a delicious spiced pound cake and its tastes so good if I do say so myself.
Admit it my Cinderella cup is amazing!! And yes my cake is very tasty!
Today is the first day I feel officially ready for Christmas. So I’m just gonna grab my tree down from the loft, wrap up in my fluffy pjs and sit here and watch TGBBO whilst eating cake and drinking tea! Perfect night!
SURPRISE of course me mentioning The Great British Bake Off wouldn’t be complete without a #pout selfie!!
Hello my lovelies, yes it has been an awful long while, but with some careful persuasion from work colleagues I am back.
Today’s post is all about my new found love for high necks. What is not to love about them? They are comfy, nice and snug, trendy and they look great with anything.
This afternoon, I went to my sister in laws baby shower, which was very exciting and my choice of outfit was simple and sophisticated…I think.
I wore a dark grey high neck funnel jumper, with slits to the sides and baggy arms. Admittedly at first I wasn’t too sure about it, as it felt too basic. But once paired with my black jeggings and black suede ankle boots I instantly felt comfortable.
The jumper was comfy, the material felt great, I didn’t need to wear a vest top underneath, the jumper was quite thick. For me personally I like sleeves that are fitted, whereas on the jumper they went baggy after a short period of wear. Same for the funnel neck, I expected it to be slim fitting to the neck but it wasn’t. However, this jumper does get brownie points as it is longline and for me, who is 5’7″ it’s perfect. Not too short and not too long just perfect. You can view the jumper for your self at Newlook and it was £14.99. Great autumn bargain!
To finish off the look, I wore a pair of elasticated jeggings in black from Tesco F&F range. They cost £10, and are very comfy. After a few times of wearing they do get a little bit tight around the waist…unless I’ve put on weight, then that would explain why. But none the less, they are slim fitting and are ideal for either everyday wear or occasion wear.
Sadly my ankle boots are no longer online. But again they were from Tesco F&F range and I paid a sneaky £10 in the sale.
Overall the outfit cost £34.99, with money left over for a few drinks, now that’s what I’m talking about!
I know I have said this loads of times before, that I aim to write more and I don’t. I’ve been so busy, with my new job, planning my wedding and getting used to 4am get ups.
Over the weekend, I have had the pleasure of been asked out for a meal to celebrate my brother in laws 30th birthday. For the first time a long time…and I mean a long time, I decided to put some make up on and wear a dress. Since working full time, getting up at 4am I don’t usually care about my image. (Who cares about image anyway, can’t change the way I look. I was born this way).
So for this meal I wore a round neck maxi dress, boasting a beautiful tropical print from Newlook. This dress has elasticated tie waist, which i found extremely comfy having a bit of a secured fit. I loved how it has a touch of elegance with a small key hole button fastening to the rear. Overall a comfy dress, ideal for everyday wear or a occasion. The only downside to this dress, is there was no room at the bottom and I did at times felt like I was walking like a penguin…waddle waddle. If you are a sewing goddess then adding a slit to the side should be a doddle. If you are not that practical like me, then any good seamstress could alter it for you.
I completed the outfit with brown buckle fastening sandals from Primark for £6. As always I love a bargain and was pleased to have picked up the maxi dress for £13.49 instead of the marked price at £17.99. If you hurry you can still pick up this beauty for the sale price now.
Overall cost of the outfit is £19.49. What a bargain!
So tonight’s post is all about the bargain I’ve got from Newlook. This was supposed to be my other choice from The Wedding Party outfit.
For me this just wasn’t the party dress, it lacked something and I’m not sure what yet.
Its a blue mini dress, with an oval bottom. So the dress is longer on the sides but shorter on the front and back. It is a little bit lose on my so maybe the next size down would of been more fitting.
As much as I love this dress, it is shockingly a bit see through!! It’s from the AX Paris range so I know it will last regardless.
It was £18 and I got it for £12!
Excuse my picture it’s been one of those nights trust me. It’s took my longer than normal to find the dress on the website. For a second there I thought it had gone out of the sale!! PANIC OVER!
This weekend I was invited to my friends evening party after their wedding. It such a lovely night and the first dance is one everyone will remember.
For once I didn’t have a clue what to wear but thanks to my faithful Newlook I found the perfect outfit.
The dress was £15 in the sale. Unfortunately I can’t find the link to the dress so I’m going to assume It’s and in store only. So go grab it while you can. The dress was really comfy and was the perfect length! I loved how the sleeves were just lace and 3/4 it was the perfect touch . It was great how it was fitted too.
The shoes were £17.99 in a nice nude colour with a gold strip on the side. What made these shoes have the wow factor is the ankle strap. It was a nice touch to the outfit. Bonus is that they didn’t rub or hurt my feet *happy me*.
Overall, I felt I didn’t need to wear much jewelry so I dressed it with a Pandora charm bracelet.
I will be showcasing my holiday wardrobe where I’ve had over £300.00 worth of clothes for only £100. Kerching!
So just a quick mention of a few bargains I managed to pick up the other day. Of course from my favourite shop Newlook.
The dress on the left is a light blue tie waist long shirt. This is so light and comfy and I feel wonderful in it. The back is long so I’m not too conscious . Only £19.99 and I used my student card!
Now on the right I am wearing a white lose fitting vest top, with a floral pair of trousers. The top again is light and really comfy perfect for a holiday! The trousers are surprisingly light too and really comfy. The added bonus is that they have pockets! The top was £3 and the bottoms were £10. Lovely!
I got these because I’m off on my jollies soon and need light clothes that are stylish! Newlook answers all my prayers!
Wow, wow and wow. Newlook is selling dresses for spring and summer for only £10!!!
This is such a fantastic offer you really can’t afford to miss it! Stock up for those summer nights out! Remember if you are a student you also get your discount off that £10 so it be even more cheaper!!
Please note that the shoes in the picture are not £10 I put them in to see what you could wear with the dresses.
Go smart and stay comfy!
This weeks outfit is one you wear to that all important interview. Or even if you want spring to hurry up. Ditch the jeans and get a skirt!
This black floral tube skirt is lovely and give you loads of options for what you can wear with it. Why not make it retro and go daring with a crop top, as suggested on the Newlook website. The design is bright and detailed and is bound to bright up those dull winter mornings. For £9.99 you cannot go wrong!
As it’s still winter of course its vital you keep warm. So this tunic top which comes in a variety colours is a great to keep the outfit smart but also casual. I really love the lace design on the back its elegant. This top is great because it’s ¾ sleeve which to me gives its a more sexier look. Also making it very easy to wear a bracelet and not look like too much. Another bargain at just £9.99.
And finally these crochet court wedges will be comfy to wear for those long days at work or University. These come in a few colours so if navy isn’t your colour not to worry there is others for you to chose from. These are currently £19.99 but will be cheaper if you use your student discount card.
The whole outfit is from Newlook.com costing a grand total of £39.97 out of £50 which means im saving £10.03 .
Enough left over for a pair of tights from Primark to dress it up more.
Ladies Valentines Day is fast approaching.
Going on a date? Or just slumming it with you besties at the cinema. Whatever you’re doing there is an outfit for all.
This whole outfit is from newlook.com
My ideal outfit is this wonderful Floral Skater dress. The colours are superb and no need to wear any necklaces. As the details on it is enough to make you stand out. I love the neck on this dress it really adds the elegance to the dress. A great buy at just £17.99.
The Ankle heel boots are just fab. These sexy pair of boots are comfortable and easy to walk in. These are ideal for women who have wide feet like me. They are spacious and come in more than one colour. You can pretty much wear them with anything and they will still match. My must have for winter! Currently on sale at £14.99.
If you self conscious of your legs then don’t worry and pair of plain tights will look okay with this. Or even a deep red pair of tights. Tights are good for winter not only do they make you look more professional they also keep those legs warm and covered! £4.99 or 3 for 2.
Lastly dress it up with the bracelets so you arms don’t look too bare. The colours go really well with the dress. These bracelets will make you look great without feeling you’ve overdressed. A great deal at £5.99.
Overall the whole outfit comes to £43.96 leaving me £6.04 change out of £50. BARGAIN!
